What other way would you handle it? Also the reason that is evidence is due to them leaving and we need proof of them leaving. If we didnt use that screenshot we could say anyone RDMed and Left if we didnt use that specific chat message of them leaving whether it say while slain, with a slay or neither of the other 2.
A timestamp should be added and the message should post to servers logs within rdm manager so another staff member can access the old logs to audit the other moderators work. Also the message should include steamid and name
Because we need to screenshot proof that the person left the server. If the person is intentionally found to faking or forging his or her evidence, the person will be dealt with. If we want to use your logic, then everything can be forged or edited through magic of photo and video editing programs.
So why not add a timestamp, would take less than 15 minutes to program, though it should still be in the logs. But if you're just going to post a screenshot that can be EASILY (keyword easily, anything can be faked with time) why bother in the first place?
Bc it’s not needed? Correct me if I’m wrong, but there has never been a reported case, that was valid, if a staff member altering evidence. It’s just not needed bc the system already works. Why fix something that’s not broken
Or there is a foul play of forging and manipulation of evidence (which time stamps can be also edited as well. I have done it in the far past in before I came to SGM), it should be bought up to their superiors. You're asking the entire staff team to find a program that enables timestamps as well as a way to screenshot things. We each use different screenshot and recording programs such as sharex, lightscreenshot, puu.sh, obs, shadowplay, etc. Not only that, we take screenshots of multiple things. The reports, the shotlogs/damagelogs, deathscene (if appliable), etc. So why bother forging it when you're going to end up screenshotting the person leaving the server. However, let's say the person forged the evidence, contact their superior or the leads or even Opalium. We have our ways of finding whether the person forged the evidence or not. Even so, your argument isn't that concrete because timestamps can also be manipulated as well. Where do we stop with "what is forged" and "what is not forged"?
