Lotto Visible on forums

Hello folks,

I thought it would be handy if the lottery would be viewable from the forums. Yes, I know you could do the exact same thing when you log onto the servers to check it, but I thought it was handier when it was executed this way.
It could possibly put extra weight on the forums, but I'm not sure about that.

Contents of the page should be:

• Lottery Page
• Points viewable on lottery page (maybe)
• Tickets buyable from lottery page (maybe)

It would be nice if it was in the dropdown menu of: "Servers"

Better than joining the server just to check if I won the lottery lmao

 

I would support this if there is a way to link your in game points onto the forums to purchase tickets from the site.

 

I would make it instead of always updating to check if new points had been added, have it at 2 hour increments or whatever is better. We can have it perfectly timed with the lottery drawings so when they get drawn it refreshes.

It wasn't on the forums but @Zikeji used to have a site where you could check up on the lottery. At least I'm pretty sure he did. He shut that down ages ago but I tagged him so he can give his input? Not sure what he could really do here. But this suggestion gets my +1 . I'd love to have this

 

Plenty of database info is already syncd, don't see why this isn't possible. But might not be worth the dev time

 

Pls we need it!!!! Here is the reason why.... We need a way to know if we won lottery from a smartphone? And might as well add a 'Claim Points' option to it!

Yeah, I used to have a page where you could view lottery information. I could easily make it again (provided the backend hasn't changed much).

This being said, I don't think the ability to purchase tickets online or cashout your winnings should be a thing. You should be in game for that. But viewing the current lottery and a history would be convenient.

 

How does it work? Does it rely on having an acct logged into the server or are you able to query sgm databases directly?

 

How about a Forum alert for winning the lottery?

Or maybe custom alerts based on your preferences, i.e. alters when lottery is drawn, a new phase begins, etc.

Would that be possible?

 

But...nobody has given a good reason why this should be implemented...

 

When I was doing lottery I'd constantly have to jump on and check. It's more useful than some suggestions I've seen here.

I mean if you're enterring the lottery chances are that you're on the server daily or every other day at least, so just find out if you won or lost when you join to play next
