Should the mines on Whitehouse (the map) be treated like the explosive barrels?
Like if you approach a player with a barrel, he has the right to kill you?

Because the mines are basically insta-kill upclose and a lot of players tend to use the mines, even when they're inno and it usually causes T's to lose their T rounds.

I believe the mines, even when you cannot tell who arms them or when they are armed, should be treated as any other explosive prop.

I was partly involved in the map rules sticky, and the reason that I told law to not add those along with the turtle mines on datmap is that the MOTD already states that approaching a player with an explosive prop is traitorous.

Yeah, it does but for some reason some mods just like overlook this and when I tried to kill a player approaching me with a mine I got slayed. Hence why I wanna check with the community about this stupid mine business.

My verdict on this issue is that if any prop has explosive properties (whether it needs to be activated or not), it is traitorous to approach players with them.

The only issue with this is that there is no tracking system for who activates the mine or who places the mine. My advice to any staff and players who read this is to treat it as an explosive prop; walking towards players with it is traitorous.

As for staff wanting to know the best ways to check for this since it will not show in the logs as to who had it, check the shot logs for magneto stick use. Like you would for undocumented prop damage.
