This would be a detective specific rule that would allow him/her to kill people if they are trying to prevent 'justice' from happening. This could be: Throwing a visualizer in an unreachable area, Putting a body with dna in an unreachable area(you would only be able to kill if you saw the dna on the body) and shit like that
eyy man i am all for more innocent deaths but this is just a straight karma loss, a visualizer is near useless and people always want to carry bosies
Hiding bodies with DNA is one of the only ways for traitors to combat DNA scanners (besides flare guns). -1
I usually do. But when I don't, I hide the bodies. I don't want to be forced to buy a decoy every t round.
Obstruction of Justice, not Obstruction to Justice On top of that, obstruction of justice requires the person to know that prior to the act, the actions they are going to do will result in an obstruction of justice. If we translate that into game-terms, if a detective walks away and leaves a visualizer where there are no bodies and a player walks over and throws the visualizer, is that grounds to kill for obstruction of justice? How is it possible to prove that the player that threw the visualizer knew prior to doing so that he would be impeding the detective's investigation. What about a body? A body is left with DNA, but a player walks over and throws it over a ledge. For grounds to kill based on obstruction of justice, you would have to prove that the player checked the body, saw that there was DNA, and then proceeded to throw the body off of the ledge since with that there would be prior knowledge that throwing the body over the ledge would result in an inability to gather DNA. -1. Obstruction of Justice is applicable when it can be determined that someone committed an action that they knew prior to doing so would obstruct justice/an investigation; something too hard to prove in a fast-paced GMod game.
This sounds like an easy way to loophole. There is no way for us to confirm or deny if a body has DNA on it when its hidden, nor do we have a way to prove that someone saw the DNA on the body -1
-1 As Ryan Stated Above, this would make it really easy for people to loophole the rules and we have no way as staff to check if the bodies had DNA or not. Also, how do we define a "hidden body" because some people might move the body and others claim the body is being hidden which would lead to a whole host of problems over the problem of defining hiding
