So apparently I was using a slightly unbalanced scale I got from Goodwill. Used my mom's and I'm at 220 a week early.

Been doing keto myself for a little over a month. I've lost 8 kilos so far, bringing myself down to 80 kilos.

I also rely mostly on eggs and meats. I go by my day with a lot of water and lemonade(replacing the sugar with salt for the electrolytes). When I don't have meat or can't eat it due to family tradition on some days, I eat dishes that include cottage cheese.

Oh also, here's a fun recipe if you want some booze in the diet:
    https://www.forkly.com/recipes/creamy-keto-irish-cream-liqueur/

You can drink that solo or have it with bulletproof coffee(1 to 2 ounces per 1 1/2 to 2 cups of coffee). Good luck with your endeavour.

First time I did Keto last year I lost 30 pounds in a little over a month, but gained it back pretty soon after. This time around, I plan on losing 60 pounds and keeping it lost.

I have to try that lemonade with salt idea

I am currently 10 pounds down after a week (249 as of this morning)

why do people think they need to do specific diets, just eat high protein and avoid unnecesarry carbs. drink only water. exercise 3o-60 minutes 5 times a week. fuckin easy. And if you want to lose weight just eat in smaller portions, but maintaining portions for a good healthy equilibrium is the best way you can live

isn't keto in a sense literally just high fat, decent protein, and very low carbs so your body just starts burning fat instead of carbs with a mix of some exercise-

yes, though exercise is optional. you can be as stagnant as you want, but while in ketosis, you'll lose fat no matter what because that becomes your main source of energy
essentially, your body takes the time to break down the stored fat, rather than relying on simple sugars like carbs
this is also the idea behind intermittent fasting. your body doesn't have carbs for a long period of time and therefore begins to digest stored fat.

because "eat healthy" is arbitrary and only effective on a case-by-case basis. anyone in ketosis can lose weight. not only that, but the weight you lose is mostly fat and water.
if i wanted to build muscle, i'd eat high protein. but as far as losing weight goes, ketosis with a bit of exercise to help with metabolism is the best way to go. if you wanna get fancy with it, you can also add in some intermittent fasting.
trust me, I've tried the "eat healthy and exercise" route before, but ketosis is the only one i can stick with for long periods of time and with better results.

On the keto diet, you're probably gonna be eating the rabbit more often than their food

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2016 and immediately started a keto diet. Was diagnosed as diabetes free after 2 years and had dropped from 360lbs to 250lbs so I quit the diet. Regret it and may go back because I haven't been able to really break 240lbs even with regular hiking (although tbh that's the only exercising I do).

The two things I really enjoyed were cauliflower pizza crust and snacking on all kinds of cheese whenever I had the munchies. Zucchini noodles are also pretty ok.
