Rejected Helper Rank

So when staff is looking at damage logs, death scenes, admin status, etc... to where it's sometimes hard to hear someone say a homophobic or racial slur or ever harassment and of course when the staff player is still alive and there's someone mic spamming en/or saying a homophobic or racial slur.

Sadly this happens a lot and I find that unacceptable.
I believe that when this happens its not always staffs fault. sometimes they just can't hear it because they are so busy with staff stuff

what the Helper rank should get:
Powers to gag
Powers to mute
Maybe kick?

What you guys think?

just someone to listen to chat to gag people being dumb. can also be nice when staff are gone and people wont shut up

 

There is a mod or admin on at almost any given time, and even if there wasn't, people can report. I have seen helpers on other servers, and I even got to be one for awhile. But those servers only had helpers because they were understaffed; this server isnt [aside from no devs lol], so its unneeded. And if they can't handle rdm and stuff like that, there is absolutely no point to it.

I think a democratic vote gag / mute / kick would be a much better idea.

I think this would be an good idea when a admin have to leave and put a helper in charge, the healer would have to keep notes on who they gag and mute and reasons why also recording proof on why they gag/mute the person. I don't think kicking would be a good idea thou, like Fiz said it have more power than Trial Mod.

Judging by your poll and our previous go with supplemental staff (Part time mods) I am going to go ahead and reject this. Our conventional staff roles are more or less able to handle the servers. If you feel like there isn't enough staff on while you play, go ahead and apply for moderator.
