The primary cause of crashes on terror train were that damn freezer door. People would put barrels into it and it would crash. To fix this, all one has to do is simply remove the freezer door entirely which can be done with the 'Remove' tool in singleplayer. Upload the fix, and add it to rotation. ez pz fun map is back
It was everyone's favorite map. It was removed because people are lazy and can't take 3 seconds to go into a map and fix it and then re-upload the fix.
I love Terror Train nothing better than tight corridors for getting mowed down with no chance of fighting back not to mention a single C4 taking out 1/3 of the map. That's what I call a good TTT experience.

nah it was pretty much just people putting shit in the automatically closing door that crashed it. Some people think that the bottom of the map having a constant slide / acceleration towards the "back" of the train did it by bunching bodies and props up at the end of the map, but I doubt that.
1o Reasons why Terrortrain v.2b isn't good: 1. The skybox was unoptimized (the skybox was the floor of the map and unseen surfaces were not 'Nodraw') 2. The trigger_push (pushing you to the back of the map) was acting quicker than the server could follow 3. Props were put in the doors (the doors are unoptimized too) 4. The bodies piled up at the back of the map and were constantly pushed against the skybox which lead to errors and bodies/props getting pushed out of the map 5. The scroll textures caused framerate problems because the scroll value was too high 6. Props had no fading distance (rendering props you wouldn't see) 7. No tool optimization (no hints/skips/areaportals) 8. The servers crash even if it's not Terrortrain 9. The map looks bad because it was created with LDR 10. The trigger_hurt (when you fall underneath/near the train) had an unnecessary high damage value ... and many other problems. Since the map is very unoptimized the server will likely crash because it has to exchange too much information with too many clients.
Damn, I knew that people sticking props into doors could cause problems on v.2b but I wasn't aware that there was a hell of a lot of optimization issues until now. It's more of a reason why I'd like the newer version to be on the server now more than ever.
Bring back every map that was every removed since at one point they were considered good enough to be added to the server.
