Based on what I have caught up so far, I think they're super divided on what they all want. While the majority of them not wanting hard brexit, they can't seem to get a majority consensus on what their plan will be.
From what I think will happen is that EU will probably reject the ask for extension and cause hard brexit to occur because I don't think the Parliament will actually have a plan on what they want to do.
It's basically a shitshow from what I have read so far.

Regardless of whether Brexit is hard or not would it affect anything here in the United States?

In terms of negative impact, it can, but probably not as hard as it is going to be for the industries within EU/UK.
I'll have to do more research/reading to see any positive impact.

Ill advised at best. This is a good example of how the masses aren't always the best people to make decisions. Should they be allowed to? Absolutely. I'm just happy I don't live in the UK. There is no real good reason to leave the EU because most of the rules the EU had are still going to be in effect, but will be non-negotiable. There is no winning for the UK anymore, there is only softened defeat.

Agent A says what I am trying to say perfectly. Government benefits are cool and all, but a corporation can take those benefits in one hand while laying off half its staff on the other. Why would they do that? Because the government has made life so easy that they can survive with less people. Even if none of that matters, automation is removing way more jobs than outsourcing is.

Also, I'd really like to know why you guys think income inequality is no big deal?

Because you have no right to their money. Just like I dont have the right to the 20 cents you have more than the amount of money I have. They worked for that. Their parents worked for that. They are supposed to pay taxes. You have 0 right to anyone money except yourself.

I am confused. You say on one hand I have no right to their money, but on the other you say that they should pay taxes. You realize that is the quickest way we take their money right?

Please understand me when I say that I don't want to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Part of my thing is diverting money away from our insane defense budget to other things (Roads, Healthcare, education). I wish trump would pull us out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

You're right I worded that incorrectly. To make sure I get it right, what would be your remedy to income inequality?

There are many different ways of fixing the disparity. While taxing the rich is the easiest and most efficient way of doing it, increasing over all levels of education and making it easier for people who are poor to lift themselves from poverty are other great ways of doing it. For instance, Universal healthcare and Education are good things to do because it would allow for people to keep money they would otherwise have to pay in.

I doubt that Brexit will have much of a positive impact here in the US to be honest, though I might be wrong considering how unfamiliar I am with the politics and economy of the EU and the UK. Regardless, hopefully whatever you find might shed some light on the subject.

I have to agree, it'll be much more of an impact for the EU nations than here.

Instead of bombing middle easterns for their oil, we could rather spend that on more important things such as education system.

we don't bomb middle eastern countries for oil.

Yeah but doing it instantly is not a good idea. Alot of jobs would get destroyed and the USA also contributes the most to NATO.

It isn't so much that we spend money on the military, but rather that we spend way more than we need to spend. We already spend more than the next ten countries combined. When your roads are crumbling and your education system is failing it makes more sense to invest in them than it does to build tanks.

If you use the argument that the government needs to continue to spend mass amounts of money to keep weapon manufacturers in business then you would also be in favor of the government buying up specialty vases to keep a vase shop owner is business. Simply put, the government does not need to continue to buy up weapons and sell them around the world.

Furthermore, most of the wars that we are currently engaged in are uselss geopolitical struggles that have ambiguous goals like "defeat terrorism." Well, so long as there is one terrorist in some foreign country, we will be there as well. There is no end to these wars. It gets even worse when you consider how much the US has destabilized several countries in the region in the pursuit of oil and geopolitical power.

Essentially, spending money on the military in itself is not a bad thing. We definitely need to have a military, the issue is that we are spending way too much on it. We have people in our country who are literally starving, roads and bridges that are crumbling, and people going bankrupt because they cannot afford healthcare, and yet the government is piling money into the never ending military black hole.

I agree that we spend too much, but instantly diverting that much money will do more harm than good. Destroying well over a million jobs would cause many Americans to not have a major source of income. Which reduces spending. Which reduces need for a particular good because no one is buying. Which reduces more jobs. Which reduces more spending...
