Why Is Calling Kos's On Detectives So Serious?

I called a kos on one, lead to two innos killing each-other, I get slain. I just think that players have common sense, not to go around following kos's on detectives. On the flip side though, I guess I should have the common sense not to call kos on the detectives.

  2. Dont call KOS on detectives... i learned that the hard way

So have I, I just feel that it is stupid that someone would kill for that..

If an inno kills a detective for any reason besides self defense(detective shoots them first) that's RDM. If an inno killed the detective because of the KoS, they should be slain for that. Although, if you KoS'd a detective for no reason it can easily lead to you getting killed, and to you getting punished for a false KoS.

  5. It's so serious cuz it's serious TTT and people take it seriously.

Our name has no direct correlation with our work ethic.

Also, @Patrick just think of it this way. We punish for false KOS' don't we? That should be enough explanation, but I'll provide a simple scenario to further your understanding.

Someone jokingly calls a KOS on a detective. An inno hears the name followed by a KOS and decides to repeat it in chat/mic-chat without knowing it's a detective they just second-handedly KOS'd. Soon, somehow the original KOS'er can't be found, but they can see the inno who repeated the KOS and so they blame him for the false KOS. It causes situations that we do not intend to be part of the core game-play, thus it is forbidden and will be dealt with.

Yes exactly what POPSTAR said, I repeat KOS's on mic when I see them in chat and sometimes I don't notice it's a detective, and of lately that's been very annoying because I have been killed for repeating it, so if you call a KOS on a detective and make me repeat a false KOS, I will kill you!

Well thanks for the feedback everyone, just wanted to speak my mind :D

  10. It didn't used to be that way, when I joined people used to just use common sense about that kind of thing and it wasn't a big deal, but about 2 months ago it seems suddenly KOSing detectives was considered false KOS and therefore slay-able. I guess people just paid more attention to it being called "Serious TTT".

Honestly I thought it was stupid at first too, untill the situation came where whey they did do the false KOS, and made me repeat it I saw why.

I never slay for it though, that's a little too excessive.

Snak false kos'd me when he's a traitor a few times without realizing I'm a detective.

  13. I understand why but it didn't make problems that a noticed even when people KOSed Detectives, someone would repeat and so on, then eventually someone would realize he was a detective and people would just laugh about it.

I'm not trying to argue the fact that its a traitorous act, but I think it is ridiculous, it's just a quirky rule that I have come to accept.
