Thread Countdown What does it mean and what does it change? A countdown that shows up in threads if you type for example [countdown=09:00,07.07.18] or something like that. It will look like a normal image (GIF) moving but it doesnt start all over again if you reload the page. It works just like a normal countdown. If it's possible: 1. Make a limit for countdowns in one thread ( Maybe only allow Staff and Thread-Creator to add 1) 2. Multiple Fonts 3. Either Hours:Minuteseconds, Hours:Minutes or just Hours (Maybe add the day's too) 4. Make the countdown change something on the forums ( Close threads, Set thread to finished etc. ) Why do you think adding Countdowns is a good idea? -Makes Giveaways easier -Makes announcing events easier -No annoying timezone stuff
I've entered several giveaways and have never had this problem Timezones are a good point, but if you enter the giveaway as soon as you see it, when it ends shouldn't matter? I'm sure it's possible, it's just a lot of coding I think is unnecessary for something that is already a thing, and may not even be used
This seems unneeded for 2 main reasons 1. Anyone who see's a giveaway they want to enter will enter right away so you don't need a countdown encase you forget to enter? 2. If you win, you will be tagged and get the notification, if you don't win you still get the notification that the OP has commented? Seems like a waste.
This seems unneeded, but so do a lot of things. I just think it would be kinda neat to look at, so that's good enough for me.
Events never start a specific time either, and even if they do its usually delayed due to some kind of unforeseen issue.
You mean something like this? This counter is counting down until tomorrow, in PST. The only drawback is that since it's a GIF, it can't actually count down the entire time unless you want to download a few hundred megabytes for one timer. It does count down 2 minutes before it lapses, but refreshing the page will get you a fresh timer. Most people don't look at it for that long anyways. https://www.verified.tech/img/countdown.php?time=tomorrow I could make a counter creation page if you guys actually want this.
