Welcome to this new sticky which was made to help you with your report! You may think that a "Shoutbox" section would be made for reports regarding the "Shoutbox" but that would be incorrect, you need to start thinking with portals. So you may be asking me, Darth how do I know when to make a report? Well that part's fairly simple and we have plenty of examples! But first some tips that you need in every appeal and report. 1.) It has to be over something minor. 2.) It has to be something that could dealt with in private 3.) It has to waste staff time, because its not your time right? 4.) You have to look "smart" after the report is all said and done Has someone called you a bad name? In Humancowcakes report you will see that only three lines of text are there but that's fine. I mean in Unclebee's report you only see 1 line. Just know what anything bad against you is "harassment" and can be reportable. Another thing you will notice in Humancowcakes report is this line from Helix "was already handled in private". So not only can you report for a single comment but even already resolved issues, because the community should be a part of your daily interactions. But what other things can you report? Wow they used all 4 tips and tricks way to go! Sig too big? Cock too small? Then you should report that could possibly be 1 pixel more than the max for signatures. https://www.seriousgmod.com/threads/xproplayers-report.46407/ In this report we see not only a report over a signature but the reporter trying to trash talk the owner in a attempt to get him on his said, this is proper and respectable. Also you can see said reporter venting because he doesn't have a rank "I then went to use the report system on his profile but it isn't there since you've given him a rank for doing nothing but offering some ideas". This is the proper place to vent and is advisable. Tips 1 and 4 were used so good on you, but perhaps try the second and third next time. How could one live with having a formal warning, I mean that basically means you cannot become staff ever! So Aarow did the right thing and even got the formal warning removed. He knows the proper techniques! Lastly you may think that all this isn't worth your time but Staff take these reports very "serious". I mean listen to the pulse pounding punishment that was said in this quote "He will be warned. @Frosty the Spudman lets not do that again please." But wait, there's more! With the recent removal of shoutbox reports, you might be wondering how to release your pent up rage at authority and habit of being petty! Look no further than TTT reports! Mod was nice and didn't report you for unreported? REPORT. Mod kills you after you shoot right above them and they're a detective? REPORT. Mod makes a simple mistake? Exaggerate the issue by writing an essay about it and make sure to prolong the REPORT. It's so simple anyone can do it! Happy reporting!
