Reason for Report:

I was relaxing in my completely and utterly secure home, watching some anime while waiting for claim blocks to build up, when magically, Hingle and itsGiraffe gained entry to my home. All doors were closed. All entrances sealed, and they got in, because they intentionally and purposefully located a tiny hole in my claim and damaged my structure to gain entry. I know this, because I can see the missing ladders where they broke in. They have undone hours of work via their persistant harrassment to kill me as often as possible. When I voiced my complaints on this matter, Venoxity abused and exploited his powers to mute me without cause and threatened to kick me without cause as well.

All three must be punished. Hingle and itsGiraffe should be fired as staff from the SGM servers at once, as they should be held to higher standards, even if not staff on the server they are on, and Venoxity should be removed for abuse of power.​

Hey Amatsu,

The player who killed you, according to him, simply broke unclaimed blocks in order to reach you. According to rule 1, this is not rule-breaking, and I informed you as such.

When you repeatedly flamed me with insults, I gave you a formal warning to cease. However, you did not, and I proceeded to tempmute you for 1 hour. Hingle quickly informed me that this was not the protocol, that the step after a formal warning would be a kick. That was my mistake, and I quickly unmuted you and instead told you that this would serve as your final warning. I take responsibility for the mistake that was quickly corrected on my part.

How about when they have, intentionally and repeatably, in the past, sought out flaws in the claim to breach in and damage blocks? This is not the first time they have caused problems, at all.

That isn't pertinent to the current discussion in this thread.

 

Sure it is. They have engaged in toxic, griefing behavior. Any details to that are pertinent.

 

If I'm not mistaken, this thread is a report against me on the charge that I "abused and exploited [my] powers to mute [you] without cause and threatened to kick [you] without cause as well", along with whether or not the most recent event of you being killed by Hingle and Giraffe was due to griefing. I don't see what past behavior has to do with the current discussion.

I want to go ahead and start off with something said by a Developer for the SMC server.

According to this chat between Vector and Irritatingness (SMC Dev.), if you're building is on unclaimed land, it is fair game. This is the border of your claimed area. The wall with the glass on the very right is outside of your border/unclaimed. Hingle and I used this area as an entry point to come into your house and kill you.

Also, I don't appreciate you calling Hingle and I names because we killed you. It's an unnecessary response to us playing the game how it can be played.

I don't see any mention of anything that could even be stretched to cover your complaint against Hingle and Giraffe in there, and the only valid complaint against Veno is failing to kick you instead of muting you.

Now, while I realize our ruleset for Minecraft is fairly barebones at this time, I fail to see how a player taking advantage of a weak spot in your defense is griefing. Granted, if they were incessant (as in, mercing, destroying, etc. as often as possible), it could potentially be qualified as harassment. Which you allude to with "persistant harrassment to kill me as often as possible", however I see no proof or evidence to support your claims.

I would like to take a moment to apologize for my behavior. I should have taken a more professional route to resolve this dispute rather then insults and threats. I still feel that intentionally seeking out minor holes in claims to gain entry via damaging what was otherwise a 99% claimed structure is griefing, however.

Thank you for coming to the forums to report our staff and players.
It is very important our staff is representing the servers regardless of what serious game they are playing.
With the evidence provided I see no abuse by anyone involved.

Regardless flaws in your claiming is not the player who attacks you fault. They are merely taking an offensive strategy in a PvP game.
They were not abusing in any away by searching someones claiming flaws/holes.
Veno was made aware of his error soon after it was made. And corrected it fairly. Therefore no punishment will be handed out to anyone.
But I will talk to Veno about harassment protocol.
