Alright, so 2 years ago when I was first a mod here I made a Plug.dj room that started out as just a hangout for a group of friends to just share their music within the community. Little did I know, this room soon blew up and became a place for a lot of the community to hang out in and share their tastes; it's when I first realized what you guys as a group were capable of - it's when I first fell in love with this community.

So here we are, 2 years later and plug.dj is dead. I've been looking for something similar, and I think I found something. It's really buggy, don't get me wrong; but let's see how this turns out. Keep in mind this is at a very experimental stage.

Gonna list all the details down below - They're basically the same rules as the Plug.dj room. Again, since it's at an experimental stage, these rules are probably subject to changing.

- Inappropriate content being shared will not be tolerated. Users sharing this will be kicked, or worse.
- Content being shared may not be any longer than 10 minutes.
- Harassment is not allowed.
- Abusing the upvote/downvote system is not allowed.
- Repeatedly asking for staff/DJ permissions is not allowed.
- Sharing occasional cool videos that you have come across is fine at times, but constantly sharing troll videos that clearly are being shared to bother people will not be allowed.


- Do not force skip anything unless it's inappropriate. Everyone gets their turn, if you don't like what someone's playing then you can listen to the music in your own playlist until it's over.
- When it comes to harassment, I'll trust your discretion for now. Any time you're actioning a ban/kick, screenshot the proof for the future.
- Do not abuse force skip just to move people out of your way so you can share what you want. You must wait just like everyone else.
- Force skipping if a song is frozen is allowed. Usually happens if a member has crashed.
- Do not change the staff list in any way without permission from a host/co-host.
Inappropriate content - It's fine if it contains swearing/partial nudity like a lot of music videos these days contain. It's only considered inappropriate if it contains pornography, gore, or something that is clearly intended to troll/cause a disturbance.
Harassment - People are free to express their own opinion, but swearing, insulting, and repeatedly voting down something someone is sharing is not allowed.

For now, any participating Admins will get Manager. Sadly every participating moderator can't get mod; there's no need for that many staff members.

Managers are permitted to add Resident DJs which I guess basically just means you're a regular user in the room and will always be able to join the queue. They can also add Mods with the discretion of the owner or co-owner.

I needed this. It would seem like your ADVICE is actually beneficial in at least this regard.

I'm actually excited about this. I can't wait to try it out. Ever since plug.dj went down my life was been an empty mess

Okay so... Is there a rule against a teamspeak channel of people making a rule to skip other people's songs?
I sit here waiting for a good amount of minutes (maybe 15-25 or so I'm not keeping count) But about 10-12 songs later after waiting finally. I get to listen to my song. Or... not?





So then they tell me that while they were sitting up in a locked channel on Teamspeak together, they made a rule that's not written down yet that 5 downvotes gets the skip.

Also known as... letting that teamspeak channel play exactly what they want?
"Everyone gets their turn, if you don't like what someone's playing then you can listen to the music in your own playlist until it's over."
Apparently not.

 

Took care of it, won't happen again.

 

I just wanted to listen to my 2005 music, and then I got skippityed

 

Locking the thread from this point on. If you have any complaints, PM me about them. Managers have discretion; depending on the crowd's level of comfort with very inappropriate and explicit music/music videos, sometimes things CAN be skipped.
