For 50k points, binoculars can collect DNA from long distances. Not only can this increase the usage of the d item but can bring some interesting detective strategies to TTT.
Eh, too OP. -1 sorry but this will defeat the purpose of letting traitors hide bodies in unreachable areas. You say this could add some interesting detective strategies, but i just think it removes some traitor strategies. Moving around UNID bodies is risky enough, so i think traitors should be rewarded if they are able to drop an unidentified body off a cliff or something without being caught.
I agree with Silent, it would be over powered. Instead of the ability of collecting DNA, how about you reduce the time it takes to ID a body instead? or would that also be over powered?
This idea is much more feasible, reducing the detectives vulnerability time as he identifies distant bodies.
That's the point of the flare gun, to dispose of bodies quickly, not all Ts throw bodies off of cliffs. +1 from me. Seems interesting.
The suggestion made by Sir Ceil is a pretty good one, but I am not going to lie, I doubt this will make people use the binoculars more. The binoculars are only useful on certain maps, it's pretty much a waste of a credit unless you're metropolis, train, rooftops, etc.
I would love to see a speed upgrade in tiers like the radar/DNA scanner upgrades. more things to spend points on and something to help detectives on maps like island 2013.
1+ to speed. Neutral on DNA While I fully agree binoculars needs some form of buff/mechanic change up, long range DNA just cuts T's strategies. I'm all for a speed boost, as they're rather clunky I'm the first place. I'd love to see this implemented on Vanilla without the point shop requirement.
