Hey all, I been working on a map, and i need some help on getting it into playable condition, i have no experience in making traitor traps or breakable surfaces, i also need help converting the .vmf file into a .bsp to be playable, I also know that it has some serious errors and if i can get help with it that would be awsome, ive included the .vmf file so you can take a look for yourselves. If i need to attach anything please tell me, thanks!!!

The map seems the right size for TTT. As for traitor traps, it would depend on what KIND of trap you're trying to make. Do you plan on making a trap door like the one on Innocent Motel, or explosive traps like the ones on Datmap and Community Bowling? As for breakable surfaces, you would select the brush or brushes you want to be breakable and tie them to a func_breakable entity. For converting the map into a BSP file, HAMMER should be able to do that for you, by "running" the map (default hotkey is F9), provided the paths for the rendering programs in the Bin file are set up correctly.

I have garrys mod set to a location other than C: (its F: on my computer) would this cause Hammer to fail? (i keep getting a "The system cannot find the file specified") Heres a Link to the file

Question for you doomblade, is there textures on my map or do i need to manually do that (hoping not, i used the sourcecraft program to convert the map so I'm hoping its just me not knowing the hammer to show the textures)

And ill go peruse youtube for tutorials on the other stuff you mentioned

And if anyone wants to contribute or give suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!!

@DrNaughtyhandz In HAMMER I don't see textures, those need to be installed manually on the client's side. For custom textures and models on maps, it's suggested that you use PakRat to compile everything into the BSP map file.
