So i was slain for not responding to an Rdm report where the only text of the report was "Fag" so i figured it wasnt an rdm report it was just harassment and asked the moderator to ask him not to harass me, thinking that was all i needed to do. So i was slain for not responding to the report.... Is "Fag" really a real rdm report that i should be slain for? When i was justified in killing him in the first place and would have easily responded to that since i witnessed him shoot someone.
It is always in your best interest to fill out the report with as much information as possible. If both sides of the story are vague, the staff member should try to investigate it more.
i had it in general discussion not reporting an admin... i dont feel like getting him in trouble... just wondering if Fag is a legitimate rdm report where i can be slain for not filling it out.
Hey Beard Core, when you are reported for RDM, if you don't give a valid response it is our duty to slay you. While the content of the victims message didn't give you much to work with, whenever you are reported for RDM look at the name of the person who reported you, and give a response as to why you killed them. This will ensure that situations like this don't happen in the future. However the victim is not right in this situation either. I'm pretty confident that if you asked a Staff Member to warn him for harassing you, it got done. I moved your thread to the Q&A section, as this is where it belongs. Well i wish i was asked for the information but i can deal with it.. just didnt think i had to consider it a report. Thnx
If you sent a blank report and the staff member failed to ask you for your side after the blank report was sent then the slay shouldn't have been issued. As staff we are obligated to fully investigate claims and cases, regardless of the content. If there is potential RDM, we will investigate. The staff member who failed to do so should for sure be brought to light about this and a report will assist that process (unless they were an admin+). If you are uncomfortable in reporting the staff member, look to see who their admin is and inform them. The reason we don't slay for blank reports and message players(if one is sent in) is because plenty of things could go wrong to prevent you from responding properly. Such as map change, report being forced mid-round, or even a simple misclick. To finalize, yes, you can be slain for a blank report IF you also fail to respond to the messages of the staff member(s) investigating your case. If they do not message you, then no, you cannot be slain until properly given a fair trial.
